After working as a grower and greenhouse technician for Von Trapp Greenhouse in Waitsfield for four years, he earned his Masters of Arts in Landscape Design from the Conway School of Landscape Design in 2009. Upon graduating, Alex worked with Timber & Stone, LLC, designing and constructing recreational trails throughout the northeast. His projects with T&S ranged from building bike paths and stone stairs to boardwalks and covered bridges. Alex is certified through the Dry Stone Walling Association of Great Britain and continues completing coursework and certification levels through the Stone Trust in Dummerston, Vermont. Alex brings a depth of knowledge to ECOLIBRIUM, LLC ranging from horticulture and design to technical machine operation.

Sarah Hoffmeier studied business for her undergraduate degree from the University of Richmond in Richmond, VA before finding her passion for horticulture and landscape design. She has worked in the landscape field since 2007 when she began her studies in landscape design at The George Washington University in D.C. Also a graduate of the Conway School of Landscape Design, Sarah began Rising Arbor Designs (a landscape design, installation, and maintenance company) in 2010 before she and Alex created Ecolibrium, LLC in 2015. A certified VT horticulturist through the Vermont Landscape and Nursery Association, Sarah has also completed the Master Gardener and Master Composter courses offered through UVM Extension, is a member of the Hardy Plant Club of Northern VT, and is a member of the Montpelier Tree Board. Sarah continues her learning of plants and design through lectures, courses, and experimenting with plants and techniques on her own property.
